Jerkmate and LiveJasmin are two of the most-searched live cam sites, and on the surface they look similar: free to join, no subscription, pay-as-you-go for private shows. The real differences are in how you pay, how easy it is to keep track of what you spend, and what shows up on your bank statement. This comparison walks through all three so you can pick the one that fits your budget, without surprises.

How Pricing Works on Each Site
Jerkmate: Gold that maps straight to dollars
Jerkmate uses Gold, and 1 Gold equals US$1. That sounds like a small detail, but it is the single biggest reason beginners find Jerkmate easier to budget: a performer charging 4 Gold per minute is charging $4 per minute, full stop. There’s no mental conversion and no “how much was a credit again?” moment halfway through a show.
Joining and watching public shows is free. You only spend when you go private, tip, join a Fan Club or buy extras. Private and exclusive shows are billed per minute at a rate each performer sets, and some performers offer discounted blocks of minutes if you pay up front. Fan Club members also reportedly get 10% off private and exclusive shows with that performer. For worked examples, see our full breakdown of what Jerkmate really costs.
LiveJasmin: credits with a price that varies by pack
LiveJasmin uses credits, and the price per credit depends on the pack size. Recent price tables (September 2026) list:
- 28 credits for $18.00
- 68 credits for $40.00
- 98 credits for $56.50
- 158 credits for $89.50
That works out to roughly $1.20–$1.36 per credit, before sales tax. Your card provider may add a foreign-transaction fee on top, so one tester’s first small pack came to about $1.71 per credit all-in.
Private show rates are set by each performer and range from under 1 credit per minute to 9.99+ credits per minute. Optional extras such as two-way audio or cam2cam add to the per-minute rate. In practice, a room at 4.99 credits per minute costs about $6–$7 per minute once you convert credits to dollars. Our LiveJasmin review covers the full price table and what you get for free.
Which is cheaper?
There’s no single answer, because both sites let performers set their own rates. What you can control is how transparent the price is. On Jerkmate, the number you see is the number you pay. On LiveJasmin, you need to multiply credits by your pack’s per-credit price (plus tax and any card fees) to see the real cost. If you’re price-sensitive, that clarity tips things toward Jerkmate.

Staying in Control of Your Spending
This is where the two sites differ most.
Jerkmate has a built-in daily spending limit you can set yourself. When you hit it, the current paid chat closes and paid features pause until the limit resets. You can change it in your profile settings, but having it switched on by default makes it far harder to overspend in the moment.
LiveJasmin doesn’t offer an equivalent daily cap. The main control is simply buying smaller credit packs and leaving auto-refill switched off, so your balance can’t top itself up during a show.
Whichever site you choose, three habits help:
- Decide your budget before you log in, not during a show.
- Check the per-minute rate (and the cost of any extras) before you go private.
- Cancel any Fan Club you no longer use, because Fan Clubs on both sites renew monthly.
Privacy and Discreet Billing
What appears on your statement
Neither site bills under a name that spells out what you bought. Jerkmate charges through a payment processor rather than under its own name. LiveJasmin’s charges are handled by JWS Bill, and checkout says they appear as “Jwsbill.com,” although the exact descriptor can vary by bank and country. If anyone else sees your statements, our guide to paying for adult sites discreetly covers prepaid cards, PayPal and other options.
Account security
LiveJasmin offers two-factor authentication, login alerts and a list of active sessions, which is a strong set of security tools. Jerkmate encrypts connections and lets you browse with a free account before adding any payment details. On either site, use a unique password, a separate email address and a username that doesn’t identify you. Our cam site privacy tips go into more detail.
Refunds
Expect refunds to be rare on both sites, especially for time you’ve already used. That’s another reason to start with small purchases until you know which site you prefer.
Experience and Features
Jerkmate is built around matching you with performers quickly. You can answer a few preference questions and be shown suggested rooms, which suits people who don’t want to scroll through hundreds of thumbnails. It also has extras such as Fan Clubs, a video store and loyalty rewards that are credited back to later purchases.
LiveJasmin is known for a polished, premium look, with HD rooms and a large performer roster. Free users can browse profiles, galleries and short previews, and a free account adds favourites and follow notifications. If presentation and video quality matter most to you, LiveJasmin has the edge.

Which Should You Choose?
Choose Jerkmate if you’re new to cam sites, want prices you can read at a glance, and like the safety net of a daily spending limit.
Choose LiveJasmin if you care most about polished HD rooms and strong account security, and you’re comfortable converting credits into dollars before you go private.
For most first-time users watching their budget, we’d start with Jerkmate: the 1 Gold = $1 pricing and built-in limit make it much harder to get a nasty surprise on your statement. You can always try LiveJasmin later, since both are free to join.

It depends on the performer, because both sites let performers set their own per-minute rates. Jerkmate is easier to budget because 1 Gold equals $1. LiveJasmin credits cost about $1.20–$1.36 each before tax, so you need to convert to see the real price.

What will show on my bank statement?
